Reason #1: You Don’t Know if It’s Going to Work

Yes, of course our job is to sell personal training. That’s how we make our living. But at the same time, if we don’t believe we can help you, we’ll tell you point blank. We’re very proud of our ability to get great results with our clients, and if we believe we can’t offer an incredible service to you, we simply won’t offer it.

Reason #2: You Think it’s Too Expensive
Granted, personal training is not cheap. And yes, we’re more expensive than our competitors. Despite that, we have some flexible options that can make it affordable for nearly everyone (at least everyone with a strong enough desire). In the past, we’ve had students, seniors and people who were unemployed purchase our services thanks to various different options that we have available that make it affordable.
And boy, were they glad they did, since prior to that, they struggled for years (sometimes decades) trying to reach their goal without any success. Here’s one example of one of our clients.
Reason #3: I Don’t Have Time
One of my favourite speakers says “what fits your schedule better: exercise 1 hour a day, or being dead 24 hours a day?” Very blunt, but there’s a point here.
It’s often not a time issue, but a priority issue. If it’s high enough on your priority list, it’ll get done. Barack Obama exercises 6 days per week. When Leo Tolstoy wrote the monumental War and Peace, he had 13 kids. It would have been easy for both gentlemen to make the excuse of not having enough time, but they didn’t.
And by the way, get the thought out of your mind that you have to exercise for an hour. Would it be ideal? Maybe. But even 20 minutes is better than 0 minutes. And you’d be surprised how far you can go on only 20 minutes per day.
Reason #4: You’re Injured.
Most of our clients actually come in with some sort of injury. That’s just real life. Our trainers all understand how to modify your exercise based on the injuries that you have, so that’s nothing new to us.
Reason #5: Your Markham Facility is Too Far
If I was living in Mississauga, I sure wouldn’t want to travel to Markham either. Fortunately, we have trainers that cover the majority of the Greater Toronto Area. They can come to your home, and train you there. And don’t worry if you don’t have any equipment. There’s a lot that can be done with very little equipment. Arnold Schwarzenegger built his Mr. Olympia body with nothing more than dumbbells, barbells and his own body weight.
As you can see, there aren’t any excuses not to finally change your body.
